Dimitris and his family were wonderful hosts from the very start. Dimitris picked us up from the airport in Corfu at close to midnight and settled us into our room. It was very large with a beautiful balcony overlooking the greenery of Dassia. The pool is beautiful and super clean and there is a lovely village only 200m down a small path with excellent restaurants that are very reasonable and good quality. A few small issues – on the booking.com website it says that the beach is 700m away… this is incorrect, it is actually 1.7km away. We didn’t have a car so this was a bit of an issue. I would recommend having a car to see the island and to get to the beaches. We also found that our room wasn’t cleaned at 2-3pm, but we just had to ask Dimitris or his family members and we could get fresh towels and our bins changed. However, overall, Corfu is a beautiful place and these apartments were excellent value and a really fantastic place to stay. Dimitris dropped us at the ferry port at the end of the stay and even negotiated cheap tickets for us with his friend behind the counter If you want something away from the tourist scene, stay here!
